The Hound Association is committed to healthy happy Hound breeds. And thus will be updating this page throughout 2023 with information on all the Hound breeds. 

The Hound Association would like to support both experienced Hound enthusiast and new passionate owners of Hound breeds. This page will continue to be updated but its purpose in to promote healthy happy Hound breeds. Below we aim to list all UK Hound breed clubs where you can learn more about your preferred Hound breed,

Those with Challenge Certificates are;

Afghan Hounds, Basenjis, Basset Fauve de Bretagne, Basset Griffon Vendeen (Grand), Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit), Basset Hounds, Beagles, Bloodhounds, Borzois, Dachshund Long Haired, Dachshund Miniature Long Haired, Dachshund Smooth Haired, Dachshund Miniature Smooth Haired, Dachshund Wire Haired, Dachshund Miniature Wire Haired, Deerhounds, Finnish Spitz, Greyhounds, Ibizan Hounds, Irish Wolfhounds, Norwegian Elkhounds, Otterhounds, Pharaoh Hounds, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Salukis and Whippets.

Those breeds without Challenge Certificates but with Breed classes are;

Bavarian Mountain Hound, Cirneco Dell’Etna, Foxhounds, Hamiltonstovare, Harriers, Portuguese Podengo (Warren Hound) and Sloughis.

Those breeds currently on the Import Register are

Azawakh, Basset Bleu De Gascogne, Black & Tan Coonhound, Grand Bleu De Gascogne,

Griffon Fauve De Bretagne and Segugio Italiano
